Lycalopex fulvipes Critically Endangered (or Endangered) Endemic to temperate forests in Chile. Domestic and wild dog attacks and associated diseases (mainly Canine Distemper Virus) are primary threats. Local people reported killing foxes because they attack domestic animals and poultry. Forest loss is an important threat. The annual loss rate observed for the 1999-2008 period reached 4.8%, the second highest reported for Chilean temperate forest. Lithograph 2018
