Rissa tridactyla
Vulnerable
Threatened by depletion of food resources through over-fishing, marine oil spills and chronic oil pollution. Also threatened by climate change because it is distribution is within c.10 degree latitude from the polar edge of the continent where 20-50% of the current vegetation type is projected to disappear under doubling of CO2 levels. It is caught as by catch in longline fisheries, a high risk for collision with offshore wind farms and is hunted.
